Editing Closed Captions

Once in the Standalone Media View or Interactive Transcript embed view with caption editing activated, you can begin editing your captions.

If you are on the Standalone Media View, first make sure that Interactive Transcript has been turned on. To do this, navigate to the "Transcript" tab below the video or audio asset and turn on the setting.

If you decide to embed the media with Interactive Transcripts activated, you will be able to edit captions from anywhere that asset is embedded, even if it has been embedded on an external site.

Editing Closed Captions Troubleshooting Guide

The "Edit" button will not be visible to users who do not have permissions to edit the media. If you do not see the "Edit" button in the Standalone Media View, you may not have the correct permissions to edit captions.

If you do have the correct permissions to edit captions but are still not seeing the "Edit" button, make sure that you are signed into your account as you must be authenticated to make changes.
